Last weekend, my dad and brother came down for a visit. No big deal, just to drop in and catch up.

Kathy’s birthday was on the same weekend, so we all celebrated together. It was great to have everyone together like that. They may come back in a month to help us put together a deck in the backyard. That will be one hell of a project as I have never done anything remotely like it before. Lets just hope that when its done it doesn’t collapse when we’re having a party. I can see the lawsuits now!

As I was saying, its great to have friends and family visit every now and then. It gives us a reason to straighten up the house and shower on the weekends. Just kidding. We don’t shower.

My wife and moved last year from a small starter home in the middle of the city of Lorain to a house on the very edge of the county. We are nestled in a small housing development right next to a small patch of woods.

Let me tell you. It makes all the difference in the world. Instead of looking out my window at the homes of my neighbors, we get to see the serene image you see above. Its great. No more loud salsa music at dinnertime. No more bon fires and fireworks at midnight. No my friends, just peace and quiet.

We’re building a deck soon so I can enjoy the woods even more this spring and summer. I just thought this was a cool picture and wanted to share. Now that I’m hosting some pictures with Flickr, I will be posting more images in the future.
