Time for a Change

December 17, 2007

Finally. I've been boring my friends and family with talk of this redesign since September. Well, I can now proudly say that it's finished.

I had the site mocked up back at the end of September, and the basic coding finished by early October. A few projects, birthdays, colds and one holiday later and I'm able to say, "Here it is."

As with anything I do, I'm never satisfied with the finished product. I'll be scrutinizing every detail again and again over the next few months. Be prepared to see some minor changes from time to time. Ultimately though, I'm pretty happy with the overall look and feel of it, so I won't be doing a major update for a while.

Now that this is finally (mostly) finished I can put my focus back on client work, a little reading and enjoying the holidays.

It’s about damn time! And, by the by: it is lovely.

Now…to find a nice, lengthy link to break your layout. BRB!

Everything is beautifully executed. I love the design, the structure, and the organization. I know you have been working on this for a while, and it has paid off. Nice work, Brad.

@Bridget - Thanks! And don’t worry I’ll fix it like I did your other mile long URL. ;)

    Dude nice!

It isn’t just the look that I dig, but the thought that you’ve clearly put into the site. I am hoping one of these days to emulate that kind of dedication for something other than data. You’re a touchstone now man.

@Joseph - Thanks! It took a bit longer than I had anticipated. I’m glad it is finally finished.

I love it, it’s clean and quite simple but nice looking, too. I like the background color, it’s very soft for my eyes so good work!
Only one thing: Why didn’t you position the first heading of the sidebar and of the main container on the same lavel?

    greetings from germany, max

    Hi Max,

Glad you like the design. It took a bit of time, but I finally got to a point where I could launch.

Thanks for your question… As with all designs, this is a work in progress, so check back later and you’ll see some changes here and there as I tweak things.

    Thanks again!

He he. Thanks! I’ll have to take your word for it since I’m still without iPhone. Something I hope to take care of this year. Famous last words, right? ;)

@Eric - I asked for a MacBook Pro and found this in my stocking instead. Going back through the year in my mind and trying to find where I slipped up.
